Maninder Singh is Dirba nagar panchayat president
Maninder Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was unanimously elected as the president of Dirba nagar panchayat, while Jaspreet Kaur, also from AAP, was elected as the vice-president. The election process took place at the Sub Divisional Complex in Dirba, located about 26 kilometers from Sangrur, under the supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rajesh Sharma.
Dirba MLA and Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema congratulated the newly elected leaders, praising the Nagar Panchayat members for setting an example by electing their leaders unanimously.
Cheema urged the newly elected president and vice president to serve the people of Dirba with dedication and sincerity.
He highlighted that Maninder Singh, an active and young leader of AAP, is committed to fulfilling the party's promises to the people of Dirba. Cheema also announced that an indoor stadium and a building for social functions would be constructed soon in Dirba, , with substantial financial support for development projects. He assured that development work in both rural and urban areas is being carried out in a planned and efficient manner.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Pritam Singh Peetu, chairman of Sangrur Improvement Trust, Avtar Singh Ealwal, chairman of Sangrur Market Committee, and Chander Parkash Wadhwa, executive officer of the Nagar Panchayat.
