Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Monday said Bhagwant Mann must seriously think about abdicating his position as the Chief Minister instead of quitting as the chief of AAP state unit.

Reacting to Mann’s statement that he wanted to resign as the state AAP chief so that he could completely focus on his role as the CM, Bajwa said, “The message is loud and clear. He has admitted that he did not focus on his job as the CM since he assumed power two and a half years ago. He did not do justice to the CM’s chair. Therefore, he has no right to remain on the position.”

He said under Mann, who held the Home portfolio, the law and order had collapsed. Under his leadership, the fiscal health of Punjab was in the ICU, he alleged. “Punjabis don’t deserve such an inefficient CM... Mann should seriously ponder over putting in his papers as CM,” he said.
