Astha Hospital in Maur Mandi has been de-empanelled over malpractices in the Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme by the state health agency.
Meanwhile, Aastha Hospital located on Power House road in Bathinda has not been de-empanelled. Dr Gaurav Monga of Aastha Hospital, Bathinda, said his hospital was wrongly mentioned in the news report on Monday.
It is pertinent to mention that five other private hospitals, which were delisted include Adesh Hospital (Bathinda), Akashdeep Hospital (Amritsar), Jindal Ortho Hospital (Mansa), Verma Hospital (Amritsar) and Garg Nursing Home (Moga).
The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana provides a cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year, for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation to over 10.74 crore vulnerable entitled families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries). The services are cashless and cover 1,393 health benefit packages with defined rates.
