Minorities Minister takes stock of welfare schemes
Dr Baljit Kaur, the Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, chaired a special meeting with officials in Chandigarh on Friday to review various welfare schemes and initiatives being run by the department concerned.
The meeting involved an in-depth discussion with Additional Chief Secretary Alok Shekhar and Director Sandeep Hans regarding the department's functioning and the outreach of its schemes to the public. The officials provided detailed insights into the implementation of welfare programs.
Key initiatives during the meeting included the Ashirwad Scheme, Post-Matric Scholarship, Prime Minister's Abhyudaya Yojana, and the construction of Dr Ambedkar Bhawans hostel-related initiatives.
