Miscreants targeted Aam Aadmi Clinic near JP Park in Nai Abadi, Abohar, and decamped with electrical equipment and faucets, which resulted in suspension of water and electricity supply.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when the staff reported on duty.

Anti-social elements decamped with inverter, batteries and faucets from the mohalla clinic situated at Nai Abadi in Abohar.

The staff said, “We closed the mohalla clinic on Saturday afternoon. When we opened it today, we found two batteries, an inverter, a motor and other equipment missing. The miscreants entered through the first floor. The Health Department did not deploy a watchman here.”

Locals said drug addicts could be seen roaming in the JP Park many a time.

They added that the streetlights outside the mohalla clinic were non-operational from the last six months ago, but nobody bothered to repair them.

Balwinder Singh of the City-2 police station said they had initiated the probe.
