Moga District Planning Board Chairman resigns in protest against Land Pooling Policy
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and District Planning Board Chairman, Moga, Harmanjeet Singh Didharewala, has resigned from his post in protest against the state government’s Land Pooling Policy.
Didharewala, who is also a former district president of the AAP, announced his resignation on social media. In a post, he said that he had sent his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the party leadership. Citing his deep ties with the farming community, he stated that he stands with farmers opposing the policy.
Didharewala appealed to the Chief Minister to roll back the Land Pooling Policy, which has already been facing fierce opposition from various quarters, including Opposition parties.
