Moga, June 23

The Moga police will arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and bring him on production warrants by obtaining permission from the court for interrogation in an attempt to murder case registered at a local police station, SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana confirmed today.

Bishnoi allegedly took ‘supari’ and sent two gangsters Monu Dagar and Jodhajit Singh to kill a local resident, Jatinder Kumar Neela, the brother of Deputy Mayor Ashok Dhamija. Neela also faces many criminal cases.

Dagar came to Moga to kill Neela but missed the target in December. Monu was arrested and since then has been languishing in Faridkot jail. He was recently brought on production warrants in Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Previous probes revealed that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar engaged shooters of Bishnoi gang to kill Neela, for which Bishnoi will be questioned, the SSP said.
