Moga teen raped, four booked

A 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a youth of her village at Machike village in Nihalsinghwala sub-division, the police said today.

The accused, identified as Kulwinder Singh, had allegedly abducted the girl on the intervening night of August 6 and 7 from her house and took her to his room and raped her.

The next day, he dropped her at the grain market area from where the victim managed to come back home. She narrated the incident to her father, a labourer. He sought the help of local leaders and filed a complaint with the police. “We have launched a search to nab four accused,” said Manmohan Singh Aulakh, DSP (Investigation). — TNS
