DFO Kulraj Singh Randhawa said a team of Block Officer Sukhbir Singh, Range Officer Narinderpal Singh and forest guards Jasbir Singh, Jaspreet Singh and Gurmukh Singh was deployed to catch the monkey. Although curbing the monkey menace is the duty of the civic body the Forest Department officials had to step in as the monkey was getting aggressive regularly. “It tried to attack the forest guard today but was tranquilised in time near the railway station,” said Randhawa.
