Narang hospitalised at Abohar

Abohar: BJP legislator Arun Narang, who was allegedly thrashed by farmers at Malout, was admitted to the Subdivisional Civil Hospital on Saturday evening. Ashok Chhabra, vice-president of the district BJP unit, has also been hospitalised with him. The duo was examined by Senior Medical Officer Dr Gagandeep Singh and Dr Kavita Narang was feeling uneasy due to the incident, party sources said. OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
