National award for 2 teachers from Punjab

Chandigarh, August 27

The Union Ministry of Education has selected two teachers from Punjab for the National Teachers’ Awards-2024. They would be given the awards at a ceremony in Delhi on September 5.

Those selected are: Pankaj Kumar Goyal of Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Barnala, and Rajinder Singh of Government Primary School, Khote Indra Singh Wale, Goniana Mandi, Bathinda. In all, 50 teachers from across the country have been selected for the national awards.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
