National-level Wushu player Anjali Gill died in a road accident near Tanda. Anjali, who was riding a motorcycle, was returning from a gurdwara when a speeding tractor-trailer returning from Hola Mohalla in Sri Anandpur Sahib hit her near Kotli Jand village. Anjali was seriously injured in the accident. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where due to her critical condition, she was referred to a specialty hospital in Jalandhar. She succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Anjali was working as a coach in Tanda Sports Club.
