A 26-year-old youth, who got married just five days ago, died after his SUV rammed into a tractor-trailer parked on the Abohar-Malout road yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Sujot Singh Brar of Chanan Khera village near Abohar.

Brar, who was a lawyer by profession, was nephew of former vice-chairman of the Abohar Market Committee, Rajinder Singh Brar.

The body of the deceased has been kept at a mortuary in the civil hospital.

Preliminary probe indicated that passersby took Brar to the Abohar Civil Hospital where doctors referred him to Bathinda.
