The demand for renaming the cities named after “brutal” British administrators has become louder with the Canada-based Prof Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation joining the chorus.

Sahib Singh Thind, president, Canada-based Prof Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation, today demanded the Centre to rename Dalhousie, named after Lord Dalhousie, after Bhagat Singh’s uncle and freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh, who had spent his last days, in the Himachal Pradesh town. — TNS
