NIA court issues proclamation notice against gangsters Passia, Ramandeep
A special NIA court has issued proclamation notice to gangster Happy Singh Passia, a resident of Passia village in Amritsar, and Ramandeep Singh Judge, a resident of Ferozepur, in a UAPA and Arms Act case.
Passia reportedly funded the accused in the Chandigarh blast case.
The NIA registered the case regarding their involvement in the supply of weapons for extortion from businessmen on July 10, 2023.
The court noted that the duo has been shown as absconders in the case.
Passia and Ramandeep are required to appear in the court to answer the complaint till September 26 or within 30 days of the date of the issue of the proclamation notice.
Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa, weapon supplier Baljeet Singh of Barwani (MP), Gurpreet Singh Gopi and Satnam Singh Satta are the main accused in the case.
Baljeet and Gurpreet Singh have been arrested in the case by the NIA while Landa and Satta are said to be based in Canada.
