No profiteering from sale of vaccine to private hospitals, Ravneet Bittu snubs Hardeep Puri

Chandigarh, June 6

Taking aim at Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu today said there’s no question of profiteering by the state from the supply of vaccine when the whole amount, paid by a few private hospitals, has been deposited in the State Vaccination Fund for the purchase of vaccines for the citizens free of cost.”

Why did the BJP fail to ensure the supply of adequate vaccine to the country? All vaccine supplies, whether from domestic or foreign suppliers, are being controlled by the Union government. It’s a matter of shame that the Union government failed to negotiate supplies of vaccine with both domestic and foreign manufacturers in 2020,” alleged MP Bittu. — TNS
