The SAD today said the decision of the BKU (Lakhowal) to file a writ petition in the Supreme Court was ill-advised, stressing any move to challenge the farm laws should be done only after reaching a consensus with all farm unions.

SAD leader Prem Singh Chandumajra said the SAD had nothing to do with the petition filed by BKU (Lakhowal) as it did not consult the party.

Asserting that the writ petition had been filed in haste, Prof Chandumajra said the BKU (Lakhowal) should have first consulted constitutional experts, besides holding meetings with farm representatives in other states also. — TNS
