Australian man cheats 2 brothers of Rs 32L

A man and his brother were allegedly duped of Rs 32 lakh by a person now living in Australia on the pretext of sponsoring their case for sending them to Australia.

The police have registered a case against Ravinder Sharma, a native of Bhutal Kalan village (now living in Australia), and another person Satpal, a resident of Bhutal Kalan village, in this regard under Sections 420, 406, 506 and 120-B of the IPC and Section 13 of Punjab Travel Professional (Regulation Act) at City police station, Sangrur.

The police complaint has been lodged by Rohit Jamwal, a resident of Kotpalhari village, Nurpur tehsil (Kangra district) in Himachal Pradesh. In his complaint, he has alleged that Ravinder Sharma had cheated them of Rs 31,53,655 on the pretext of sponsoring their case.
