In a bid to enhance a connect between the farmers and scientists, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organise seven kisan melas in September. Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, PAU, said the first kisan mela would be held at Nag Kalan — Jahangir, Amritsar, on September 3, followed by Ballowal Saunkhri on September 6 and Faridkot on September 10. The two-day PAU kisan mela in Ludhiana is scheduled on September 13 and 14, he said. Besides, kisan melas at Gurdaspur, Rauni (Patiala) and Bathinda would be organised on September 18, 24 and 27, he added.
