Petro card for vehicles allotted to Punjab ministers
Chandigarh, June 30
The state government has introduced petro card/fleet card facility for vehicles allotted to Cabinet Ministers. The Transport Commissioner’s Office has started this facility after getting the nod from the Finance Department.
Drivers of vehicles allotted to the ministers have been instructed to refuel vehicles at petrol pumps where the petro card facility will be available.
It has been made mandatory to put vehicle number on the computerised slip received from the pump and submit the filled logbook along with both receipts – computerised and manual – after verifying the bills by the 5th of every month.
The accurate amount should be mentioned on the summary sheet, failing which the petro card will be blocked. In case the card is most, the driver will be charged.
Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar urged all ministers to ensure adherence to the instructions given to the concerned drivers.
