Police freeze dismissed constable Amandeep Kaur’s assets
The police have frozen the properties of dismissed constable Amandeep Kaur, who was arrested after drugs were seized from her car in Bathinda.
In an order, it is stated that the properties which have been frozen and cannot be transferred or sold are a Mahindra Thar valued at Rs 14 lakh, Royal Enfield motorcycle valued at Rs 1.70 lakh. Further, a residential building at Virat Greens Colony valued at Rs 99 lakh, a plot at Dream City colony valued at Rs 18.12 lakh, two iphones, a Rolex watch valued at Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.01 lakh cash in her bank account have also been frozen.
The order states that it is observed on the basis of financial probe that the above-mentioned properties have been acquired by the accused person in her name out of illegal income earned through drug trafficking.
Later, it was stated that the car has not been frozen as the accused had sold it to Gaganpreet Singh Mann a few months before the case was registered and the transfer of RC was under process.
Amandeep was out on bail, but was arrested again today by Bathinda Range Vigilance in a case pertaining to amassing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.
