Police nab 11 in Kapurthala, seize weapons
The Kapurthala police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gaurav Toora, has launched a comcampaign to curb thefts and other criminal activities across the district.
While sharing details with The Tribune on Thursday, SSP Toora said that over the past week, the police successfully dismantled multiple theft rackets, arresting 11 suspectsto disrupt organised street crime networks.
The police have initiated Red Alert Operations and Night Domination Operations, focusing on preventive policing. A total of 234 suspicious individuals were checked, and legal action was taken against 29 for their involvement in criminal activities. The police have confiscated several stolen and illegal items, including a .32 bore pistol, a sharp-edged weapon (datar), two fake pistols, 13 motorcycles and 11 mobile phones from the arrested criminals.
