Chandigarh, April 19

The Chief Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), has asked the Director, Distribution, to recover defaulting amount on power bill from consumers within 15 days. The letter also said the Minister for Public Works and Power had desired the details of defaulting amount pending against various connections within three days. It said the CM has waived pending arrears of domestic consumers having load up to 2 KW on December 31 last year.

Meanwhile, PSPCL has appealed to consumers for “optimum use of electricity” in the wake of power shortage and coal shortage—
