Faridkot, November 10
Around 1.5 lakh candidates would be appearing for 800 posts of ward attendant on November 14. A written test for this would be conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) at 359 centres in 20 districts.
The university has sought the help of the district administration, police and all educational institutes in the 20 districts for the test. The School Education Department has already issued directions to all schools to cooperate with the university in conducting the test.
To ensure that there is no impersonation, the university had also decided to do videography of all candidates at the exam centres, said Dr Raj Bahadur, BFUHS Vice-Chancellor. Notably, a ward attendant will fetch a salary of Rs 18,000 on regularisation of service and to get the job, a candidate will have to compete with 200 others. To be eligible for the post, the candidate must have passed middle standard with Punjabi language as one of the subjects. — TNS
