PRTC bus gutted at Patiala depot
Patiala, July 21
A bus was gutted and two more were partially damaged at the PEPSU Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) depot near Sirhindi Gate during the wee hours on Sunday.
Fire Officer Rajinder Kumar said they received a call from the PRTC depot at 1.30 am.
He said two teams were rushed to the spot, which managed to douse the flames. “Prima facie short-circuit appears to be behind the incident,” he said.
The staff deputed at the depot said, “We noticed sparking in one of the parked buses. Within minutes, the entire bus was gutted. The two buses parked nearby also caught fire. We somehow managed to push two buses to a safe distance.”
