PSEB Class X topper Akshnoor aspires to become IAS Officer
Akshnoor Kaur, a student of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School in village Kot Sukhia, Faridkot, has secured the first position across the state in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 10 results, scoring a perfect 100 per cent.
The daughter of a small farmer, Akshnoor dreams of becoming an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Speaking to The Tribune after the results were declared on Friday, she credited her success to the unwavering support of her parents, Paramjit Singh and Beant Kaur, as well as the dedicated guidance of her teachers.
Originally from Lande village in Moga district, Akshnoor is not only academically brilliant, but also a national-level rugby player. She shared that she had prepared for the exams with great dedication and followed a strict study schedule to ensure consistent performance. Determined to secure a spot in the merit list, her hard work paid off with top honours.
Expressing his pride and joy, her father Paramjit Singh said he was overwhelmed by his daughter’s achievement and is confident she will continue to shine and serve the nation as an IAS officer in the future. Akshnoor is presently in Italy to visit her relative.
Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, another student of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia, has also scored 650/650. However, she remained on the fourth position due to age difference criteria. Ten students of this school have secured positions on the merit list this year.
