Punjab Briefs: 4.9 kg heroin seized, 2 held
Ferozepur: Two suspected drug smugglers have been arrested by the local police and 4.916 kg heroin seized from them. SSP Bhupinder Singh said a trap was laid near Ratta Khera village during which Nirmal Singh was arrested and 4.516 kg heroin seized from him. He has been booked under the NDPS Act at the Ghall Khurd police station.oc
800 gm opium seized
Abohar: The Khuian Sarwar police seized 800 gm of opium from a man at Gumjal barrier on the Abohar-Sriganganagar highway. The suspect was identified as Islaudin Illu of Teliyon Ki Gali, Jodhpur. A case under Sections 18, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered. oc
