Chandigarh: Chandigarh University has launched a rehabilitation programme, ‘Udaan’, aimed at offering free counselling, career mapping, higher education opportunities, skill development for the youth repatriated from the US. The announcement was made by MP and varsity Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu. A helpline number (9875970027) and website (www.cuchd.in/udaan-2025/) have been launched.

Moga admn initiative to rehabilitate addicts 

Moga: The district administration has launched an initiative to bring back to rehabilitation centres at least 7,000 drug addicts who had discontinued their treatment midway. Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said 20,742 patients were registered at the District Rehabilitation Centre at Janer village in Moga.

PGI satellite centre

Ferozepur: Officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, including Joint Secretary Ankita Mishra Bundela and nodal officer from PGI, Chandigarh, Dr Sameer Aggarwal visited the construction site of the PGI satellite centre to assess the progress. After a delay of almost 10 years, the foundation stone for the centre was laid by PM Narendra Modi on February 25 last year.
