Speaking to mediapersons on the occasion, Bhagwant Mann said he was thankful to all the people who had wished him on his wedding. He also said that he has come to pray and seek blessings so that God grants him strength to fulfil the great responsibility the people of Punjab have bestowed upon him.

Talking about scrapping the Mattewara Textile Project in Ludhiana, Mann said AAP government was committed to save the forest, land and environment of the state. He said the government would develop a forest here and project the area as an eco-tourism hub.

Commenting on Congress holding a protest on the issue, he said the forest minister during the previous Congress regime is in jail over corruption issue and DFOs are also facing action over illegal felling of trees.

Mann said the APP government was determined to make a ‘Rangla’ Punjab and sought everyone’s cooperation for the same.
