Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's health condition worsens, admitted to Fortis Mohali

He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur Mann, and admitted to the isolation ICU.
The statement released by the hospital read: “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was brought to Fortis Hospital, Mohali after he complained of exhaustion and low heart rate. On arrival, his vitals were assessed and have since stabilised. He is currently under observation and his pulse rate has improved. Our medical team continues to closely monitor his condition.”
Earlier, Mann was stated to be down with viral fever, sources had said.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, which was to be chaired by Mann, was postponed after he fell ill.
He was also unable to accompany AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on his visit to the flood-affected areas on Thursday. Following news of his illness, Kejriwal visited Mann to check on his health at his official residence.
A year ago, too, Mann, who was diagnosed with a bacterial infection, had been admitted to Fortis Mohali for a few days.
