Curious, Channi got down from his vehicle to know what had happened. He saw a group of men trying to rescue the cow that had fallen into a deep pit.
It was a difficult job and took a long time to pull out the bovine from the deep and narrow pit. However, the chief minister didn’t leave the site and was seen holding a torch as several men tied ropes around the animal to pull it out.
Finally, the animal was safely rescued.
The Chief Minsiter shared the rescue mission Live on his Twitter handle, and garnered a lot of praise.
As he left, he also sought blessing from the animal. “You were saved,” Channi said while referring to the cow as ‘massi’, a Punjabi endearment for elderly women.
The simplicity of the CM was much loved by people around him and got him a lot of praise.
