Punjab Congress MLAs leave for Delhi to support farmers

To support farmers, several Punjab Congress MLAs have left for Delhi to participate in the protest against the contentious farm laws in the national capital.
Sources in the party, however, said officially, no diktat has been issued to the MLAs by the PPCC.

Senior party MLA Raja Warring, who is en route Delhi, said that “in a testing time for farmers, it is the moral duty of the political parties to support the farmers.”
Congress MLAs, led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, had organized a dharna at Jantar Mantar Delhi earlier this month.
Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh tweeted: “For nearly 2 months farmers have been protesting peacefully in Punjab without any problem. Why is Haryana govt provoking them by resorting to force? Don’t the farmers have the right to pass peacefully through a public highway? @mlkhattar”.
