The total allocation amounts to Rs 5.175 crore. According to a senior official from the education department, this initiative aims to motivate schools to strive for excellence in academics, infrastructure, and student performance.

The selected schools have demonstrated exceptional results and have been recognised for their contribution to the state’s educational development. The grants will be utilised for infrastructure development, procurement of learning resources, and other academic improvements
