Punjab Government transfers 6 IAS officers, 1 PCS officer

The Punjab Government has issued transfer orders for six IAS officers and one PCS officer today. Jitendra Jorwal and Girish Dayalan, who didn’t have a posting, have been reinstated as Taxation Commissioner and Additional Commissioner Excise and Director General School Education, respectively.

While Jorwal was without a posting for almost a month, Dayalan was transferred last week and was not given any posting immediately.

Other than these two officers, Rajiv Prashar has been given charge of Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission; Vinay Bublani is now Commissioner, Patiala division; Mohinder Pal is Secretary, Industries and Commerce, and GPS Sahota has become the Executive Director of Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation.
