In a major rejig of the Finance Department, the state government on Friday transferred the Principal Secretary (Finance), Financial Commissioner (Excise) and Director (Treasury and Accounts).

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Alok Shekhar has been given additional charge of the Finance Department, relieving Krishan Kumar.

DK Tiwari is now the Additional Chief Secretary, Excise and Good Governance departments, relieving Vikas Pratap. Aravind Kumar MK has got the charge of Director (Treasury and Accounts) in place of Mohammad Tayyab. Anandita Mitra has got additional charge as MD of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board, which was also held by Tayyab. Ajay Arora has got the charge of Special Secretary (Finance).

In all, the government ordered transfer of 17 IAS and PCS officers this evening.
