The change in guard in the Power Department comes at a time when the state government is actively contemplating liquidation of the land owned by PSPCL, in a bid to earn the much needed revenue. All ranks of employees unions in the state power utilities have been opposing the move.
Sinha has not been given any posting and joins the list of officers who have remained without posting for months now. In the orders issued today, the 1996-batch IAS officer has been asked to report to the department of Personnel.
The orders, issued by Chief Secretary K A P Sinha, state that new posting orders of Ajoy Kumar Sinha will be issued later.
Garg has been given the charge of the two above mentioned corporations and also that of the Administrative Secretary of Power department.
Arshdeep Singh Thind replaces Garg as Administrative Secretary in Agriculture Department, while Sanyam Aggarwal replaces him as Nodal Officer Anti-Drug Campaign.
