This is the first time since the construction of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha that a session is being held outside the Assembly building.

The session, scheduled at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial Park, is being organised to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has officially designated the park as the Assembly venue for the duration of the session. The state government has made extensive preparations for the event, including the installation of a large waterproof tent.

The Assembly will pass a resolution to promote the values of secularism, universal brotherhood, and human rights, in keeping with the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
