Punjab Police arrest two associates of gangster Prabh Dasuwal
Two associates of gangster Prabh Dasuwal, who were injured in an encounter, were arrested with arms and ammunition, police said on Thursday.
One of the accused is a juvenile while the other has been identified as Pawandeep Singh of Bhikhiwind. They were admitted in Patti Civil Hospital after the encounter.
Following their arrest, the police have recovered one Glock pistol (made in Austria), one country made pistol and eight cartridges.
SSP Gaurav Toora said the accused were working under the instructions of gangster Prabh Dasuwal, a resident of Dasuwal village, who has reportedly fled away abroad.
Dasuwal was seeking ransom from area’s well established businessmen and had threatened with firing incidents at their houses through his associates.
