Chandigarh, January 14

In view of the harsh weather conditions, the state government announced holidays for all primary classes (government/aided/recognized and private schools) till January 20.

Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said the decision was taken as per the instructions of CM Mann. All middle, high and senior secondary schools would remain open from 10 am to 3 pm from January 15, Bains said. Double-shift schools would operate from 9 am to 4 pm, he added.
