Punjab State Human Rights Commission called for a report of water samples from the Deputy Commissioner, Muktsar Municipal Council, and secretaries of local bodies in Punjab and Chandigarh on or before the next date of hearing on September 25.

They took suo motu cognizance of the news report that appeared in The Tribune on Wednesday titled ’73 per cent water samples fail test in Muktsar’.
