Punjab state promotes eight as ADGP

The state government today promoted eight police officials to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) with effect from January 1. The police also ordered transfers/postings of 19 officers with immediate effect.

Those promoted are AS Rai, Parveen Kumar Sinha, Anita Punj, V Neeraj, Sudhanshu S Srivastva, Naresh Kumar, B Chandrashekhar and Ram Singh.

Under the main transfer orders, the Intelligence department would be headed by ADGP Varinder Kumar while the incumbent Director General of Police (DGP) VK Bhawra has been transferred as DGP-Homeguards and Civil Defence. Hardial Singh Mann has been posted as DIG, Ferozepur.
