Phagwara recently witnessed a display of cultural pride as the annual Punjabi Language Awareness March was organised. The procession began at the Blood bank in Guru Hargobind Nagar and journeyed through Central Town, Loha Mandi, Gandhi Chowk, Chhatti Khui, Gaushala Bazaar and Bansa Bazaar, concluding at the park near the Blood Bank.

The march was flagged off by former minister Joginder Singh Mann, Mayor Rampal Uppal, Commissioner Navneet Kaur Ball and SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, among others.
