Taking cognisance of the resentment brewing up among locals over the blockades by some farmers’ unions, the district administration after Republic Day celebrations, intervened and resolved the issue of cotton producing farmers.

They ended their protests as cotton purchase resumed. The blockades in the interior area by the farmers had affected business activities for the past few days.
