Qadian MLA Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately release Sikh prisoners languishing in jails since 1984.

“These people have already completed their sentences. It will be in the fitness of things if they are released. Their number is pegged at 23. They were jailed for their role in the Operation Bluestar. Previous governments have paid no heed to their release,” said Bajwa in his letter to the PM. — TNS
