Railways cancels, diverts more trains due to protests

Moga, January 14

The Northern Railway has cancelled, short-terminated and diverted many trains in Punjab due to the ongoing agitation of the farmers.

The Darbhanga-Amritsar special train journey commencing on January 15 will remain cancelled, so will be the Amritsar-Darbhanga special train on January 17. The Sealdah-Amritsar special train journey on January 15 and 17 will also remain cancelled.

The Nanded-Amritsar express train’s journey commencing on January 15 will be short terminated at Chandigarh. Consequently, the Amritsar-Nanded will short originate from Chandigarh on January 17 and remain partially cancelled between Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh.

The Korba-Amritsar express train will be short terminated at Ambala on January 15. Consequently, the Amritsar-Korba express train will short originate from Ambala and remain partially cancelled between Ambala-Amritsar-Ambala on January 17. The Mumbai Central-Amritsar express special train will be diverted to run via Beas- Tarn Taran-Amritsar on January 14. The Amritsar-Mumbai Central express special train will be diverted to run via Amritsar-Tarn Taran-Beas on January 15.

The Bandra Terminus-Amritsar express special will be diverted to run via Beas-Tarn Taran-Amritsar on January 14 while the Amritsar-Bandra Terminus express special will be diverted to run via Amritsar-Taran Taran- Beas on January 15.

The Amritsar–Jaynagar express special train will be diverted to run via Amritsar-Tarn Taran-Beas on January 15. The Jaynagar-Amritsar express special train will also be diverted to run via Beas-Tarn Taran-Amritsar on January 15. The New Jalpaiguri - Amritsar express special train will be diverted to run via Beas-Tarn Taran-Amritsar on January 15. The Jaynagar-Amritsar express special train on January 15 will be diverted to run via Beas-Tarn Taran-Amritsar.
