Warring, Pargat bury the hatchet; present united Punjab Congress front ahead of ‘Samvidhan Bachao’ rally
In a surprising turn of events, Punjab Congress leaders Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Jalandhar Cantt MLA Pargat Singh, known for their longstanding differences, appeared united ahead of the 'Samvidhan Bachao' rally.
Warring visited Pargat at his residence in Mithapur, Jalandhar, marking a significant thaw in their strained relationship.
Called on @INCIndia Secretary & Senior leader @PargatSOfficial ji during my visit to Doaba. Our discussion was focused on strengthening the Congress organization at the grassroots and taking the voice of Punjab forward with unity and commitment. pic.twitter.com/5XAjIoBuQQ

The visit comes amid speculation, as Pargat has reportedly been eyeing Warring’s position in the party.
At a rally, Warring said, “All other parties are tense because our pictures from yesterday showed unity.”
He emphasised that their focus is on fighting for farmers and marginalised communities, not internal rivalries. He also dismissed any speculation about him being in the race for the Chief Minister’s post, stating, “I’m not in the CM race.”
