A Rajpura man has hit Rs 1-crore jackpot by winning the ‘Punjab State Dear 100 Monday Weekly Lottery’.

Tinku Kumar, who works as a contractor, said he had been purchasing lottery tickets for the past 15 years. After submitting the ticket and relevant documents to the State Lotteries Department here to claim the prize money, Kumar said he had purchased the winning ticket for Rs 100.

Tinku (38), who besides a wife has two schoolgoing children — a son and a daughter — said he would first spend the money on his kids’ education and then think about expanding his contract business. Punjab State Lotteries Department officials said the prize money would be credited to the winner’s account soon.
