Rajpura: Relief ordered for sunflower growers

Sunflower growers in Rajpura subdivision suffered losses due to crop failure in 2022 as the seeds supplied to them by local dealers were spurious.

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Patiala, has now ordered a compensation of Rs 76,800 per acre for the aggrieved farmers.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
