Former Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today called for resuming trade through the International Border (IB) with Pakistan. She also demanded that Chandigarh be given to Punjab, besides giving the state complete control over river water.

Participating in a debate on the Budget in Parliament, Harsimrat said Chandigarh was an inalienable part of Punjab and the UT should be transferred to the state at the earliest.
