Punjab Public Works Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Thursday said the government had named the Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib-Bela road after Mata Gujar Kaur.
The minister said the road connecting the three historically important towns for Sikhs vis-à-vis Fatehgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib and Chamkaur Sahib would now be known as Mata Gujri Marg. “It is a small gesture of respect towards the unmatched sacrifice of Mata Gujar Kaur ji,” said Singla.
